Nature grew up in the infamous Queensbridge housing projects among a bevy of fellow rap stars. As with most kids brought up under bad circumstances he tried his luck selling drugs, and after a while he got caught, and served time in prison. While in prison he worked on his pen game writing rhymes, and listening to music. When he came home his friend Nas and his brother Jungle introduced him to DJ Clue. He originally entered the game with a stand out freestyle on a DJ Clue mixtape and after gaining a buzz more legendary freestyles and verses with Nas followed. Around the same time fellow Queensbridge hustler/rapper Cormega was released from prison. Nas then decided to make a super group consisting of Cormega, AZ, and Foxy Brown. More members were considered, but ultimately this was supposed to be the crew. Cormega did record a few songs, but in the end refused to sign a production deal which lead to him being replaced by Nature. In the same time period 2Pac was dissing Nas, and Nas retaliated with a freestyle in which featured Nature dissing Cormega. Although "The Firm" album was released and sold well many considered it a bit of a disappointment compared to the songs they recorded that didn't get released due to sample clearance issues. Afterwards Nature was signed to Columbia records and was set to release his debut album in 1998, Sadly the album was promoted only to be delayed, and once again promoted to be released in 1999 and delayed all the way until Sept 2000 losing most of its potential in the process. A lot of original songs were cut from the final product after being leaked on mixtapes. Still Nature was working with Nas and reconciled with Cormega to get on "Da Bridge 2001". Ironically shortly after the "QB's Finest" project was released Nas felt under appreciated, and recorded "Destroy & Rebuild" in which he dissed nearly everyone from Queensbridge, but with good intentions. Sauce Money also dissed Nature, but it was more or less attached to the huge Nas and Jay Z beef at the time. Nature retaliated with "Look Who's Talkin" which went under the rug, but then Nature struck back with a "Jackin' For Beats" esque diss where Nature got very personal, but still couldn't garner much radio play and blamed DJ's for showing favoritism. A year later he released a small group project "Wild Gremlinz" which was over all disappointing due to poor production values. Nature stayed relevant with freestyles and doing music with Scram Jones, Vin The Chin, and a lot of tracks with Noreaga. After a six year hiatus Nature returned with "Pain Killer". The end result was pretty good, but the downside was old material. Aside from that Nature's music has always been hard to find with rare guest verses and freestyles popping up few and far between on mixtapes and hip hop websites. His most recent work is "The Ashtray Effect" with DJ Superstar Jay. Some of his most recent material includes songs with Cormega, Tragedy Khadafi, Kool G Rap, AZ, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Kid Daytona, and many talented underground MC's. Nature has recently popped up on MTV with Sway and announced his latest mixtape, as well as a new album/ep coming soon.
