Touchtone is based in the UK and has been producing melancholic ambient music since 1998, inspired by the works of Global Communications, Bola, & M83. The project started out as a compliment to Skew's breakbeat tekno works; sumptuous electronic music to come down to, a cushion for the morning after. Over time, however, the pieces have taken on a life of their own and now Touchtone is pioneering a form of spiritual and melancholic ambience which suggests new musical avenues forward.
