In 2004, all of the members of Buck-Tick were involved in side projects and released albums, except for Hide. Finally his much anticipated side project has come into fruition. Kelli Ali (Kelli Dayton) used to be with the Sneaker Pimps. Cube Juice (Shinichi Nagao) is an electronic artist/remixer who wrote a song for Atsushi's solo album. Hide apparently approached Cube Juice with a demo tape and he thought it was quite good. Cube Juice knew Kelli Ali back from about 10 years ago when the Sneaker Pimps were set to play the Fuji Rock Festival (the year it typhoon-ed out). When Hide first began composing the songs for the project, before anyone else was involved, he had been listening to the Sneaker Pimps and thought Kelli's voice would be perfect for the material. His people contacted her people and when a "OK" came through, he immediately headed to the studio to record the basic tracks. Kelli flew to Japan to record the vocals. Though they could not communicate due to the language barrier, they communicated through music.
