In the year 2187 a renegade starship of robot rebels found its way into a time gate back to present day as their only way to escape persecution from unintelligent life forms. Trapped in our present time, but free of persecution, the band of robots spends their time making music to communicate with friendly beings in neighboring galaxies. The adventures of Robopimp can be told by many media formats and languages. The dangerous duo that makes Robopimp, David Rodriguez and Luis Diaz, met in the summer of 2001. The two immediately became friends and found many similarities in their personalities and musical ideas. Working together and making music was natural to them. Many songs were composed by the two before the comical name “Robopimp” was ever coined. Their way of working together is very effective. David works as the composer element, a slave to music pounding out new tracks and ideas everyday. Luis is the DJ/producer element, taking what David started and expanding upon that. Together they go many directions with their music, not really dedicated to any specific genre. They have many unique production techniques in both the analog and digital realms. Currently the Canary Islander-Luis, and the American-David, are celebrating their third release of the year. The group hopes to follow up with a tour of their one of a kind live performance.
