Starski, famous for his years sharing the decks as 1 half of Ghent’s very own dynamic duo Starski & Tonic and also for being a founding member of Belgian beat bastards The Subs is now finding his way as a solo artist with a new wave of productions and releases about to hit the clubs. With more than 12 years turntable experience under his belt, Starski has graced the decks of some of Europe’s leading establishments including London’s Fabric and The Egg clubs and Madrid’s Club Low, where he was international resident. It all started at Culture Club in Ghent (Belgium) where Starski (with Tonic) was asked to play regular slots alongside 2ManyDj’s and The Glimmers. This was soon followed with invitations to be resident at Antwerp’s Petrol club, Brussels Dirty Dancing nights and Madrid’s Club Low. Since leaving The Subs in 2008, Starski has been taking care of business as usual: rocking dance floors with his very own brand of “No Nonsense Music With Attitude” and working on some tracks of his own in the Moonlight Matters studio. As a result, Holland hottest label BMKLTSCH picked up his “Sunstruck” track and let him do a remix for the talented people of Skip&Die. Starski’s first ep “Sunstruck”, with remixes from Bart B More & Jaimie Fanatic, will be released early March 2011. Starski’s Skip&Die remix is already released. There is plenty more to come on the production side and a very busy future is guaranteed. “It’s all about the music”, is Starski’s motto. So expect a dose of electro, then add a dash of dirty house, a pinch of dubstep, some rave, drum&bass and techno and you'll feel relaxed, moody, seriously up for dancing... or strangely disoriented...
