Formed in New York in 1984 by [a=Brian Dunning], the late [a=Mícheál Ó Domhnaill] and [a=Tommy Hayes], Puck Fair blends traditional Celtic music with jazz and contemporary influences. They are often described as falling halfway between [a=Nightnoise (2)] and [a=Relativity (2)], two bands original members of Puck Fair have been associated with. Their interpretation of [a=Van Morrison]'s Moondance has also been performed by Nightnoise. The band was reformed in Dublin after a 21 year hiatus with only Brian Dunning returning from the original lineup, releasing the album Forgotten Carnival in 2008. The current lineup includes Dunning on flute, whistles, panpipes and bodhrán; Sean Whelan on guitars, oud and shamisen; and [a=Robbie Harris] on bodhrán and percussion.
